Larry has been leading his own bands for over 40 years now. At an early age, his mother was the president of Charley Prides fan club & with country music in his viens he entered his first talent show at 11 years old. The show was headlined by close family friend, Leona Williams, songwriter with many hits with Merle Haggard & Dave Kirby ( Is Anybody Goin To San Antoine ). Larry participated in the Country Western Jamboree in Dickinson, Nd in the novice division as a youngster.

The family then moved to Texas where Larry was surrounded by many great musical influences.

While in Texas he entered the Ozark Jubilee Talent Contest placing 10th out of 55. In 1978 he was visited by a talent scout for Caprice Records which led to his 45 records including the songs “ We Hardly Said Hello “ and “ The Love That’s On Your Mind “. In 1975 he traveled to Grapevine, Tx to perform on the well-known Grapevine Opry. Following all these honors in Texas, Larry then moved back to Montana where he won the Montana State Championship for The True Value Showdown.

Larry has opened for several well-known acts including George Straight, Lee Greenwood, Sawyer Brown & Tracy Lawrence to mention a few. Though the years The Alibi Band has had the rare pleasure of backing up many famous recording artists such as : Hoyt Axton, Charley Pride, Jan Howard, Jack Green & Sheb Wooley.

Established in 1991 these country boys have been entertaining audiences throughout the northwest for over two decades. Having honed their musical chops with the Gairrett Brothers Band in the late 70’s and early 80’s they went on to refine their talents and become Alibi. With a combined total of 150 years experience in the music business, these good ‘ole boys have the wherewithal & talent to play any venue and the personalities to make it pop.
