Olivia Moore

Hello! My name is Olivia, and I offer fun, encouraging guitar, ukulele, and beginner piano lessons for children ages 5-10. As a professional musician with nearly 10 years of performance experience, I believe music should be a source of joy, creativity, and confidence.

I studied classical guitar and music theory at Weaver Academy for Performing & Visual Arts and graduated with honors. Since then, I have performed throughout the Southeast, including at festivals such as the NC Folk Festival and Shakori Hills.

My teaching style is playful, patient, and personalized to each child's interests. Whether your child wants to strum songs around the campfire, sing while they play, or pluck familiar riffs, lessons are designed to keep them engaged and excited to learn.

I incorporate singing, rhythm activities, ear training, and age-appropriate music theory while introducing students to reading chord charts, tablature, and standard music notation. Drawing from my experience leading children's music and movement programs, I create a welcoming environment where students feel comfortable taking risks, making mistakes, and celebrating progress.

My goal is not only to teach an instrument, but to help children develop a lifelong love of music.
