Are you looking for a music teacher for yourself or your child?
My rate is $15/half hour or $25/45 minutes, $30/hour. Lessons are held in my home studio (112 Carrousel Lane, Cary, NC 27513).
My musical background is in classical piano and classical guitar, though I also play other instruments including ukulele, violin/fiddle, viola, tin whistle, and zither (and offer exposure and exploration on any or all of those instruments as well upon request).
I will be happy to show you the curriculums I am familiar with. Alternatively, you may have fun going to a music store (or Amazon) to select a different one. You may choose a repertoire book of your favorite style (jazz, classical, pop, ragtime, etc.) or a leveled curriculum, or both.
Either way, I will be sure you will gain an understanding of music as a whole and be able to play any style of music with any type of musician. My goal is to inspire my students musically, by providing solid training while also focusing on the style music that student is drawn to and helping the student find and express his own “voice” in music.
I do offer the first lesson as an hour lesson for $15. That gives me and the student a free initial half hour to become acquainted and discuss goals.
I currently have lesson times available on Tuesdays (between 1 & 7), Wednesdays (3:30-7), and Fridays (11-5), but if those times do not work for you, we can discuss times that might.
