About

Hi! I’m Kaylee, a singer-songwriter from Cary, NC. I am currently studying Music at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I have been performing live for 10 years, playing guitar for 9 years, and singing all of my life. I focus on fundamentals and training by ear- we will not be using any traditional staff in my lessons. I want my students to feel the music and gain musical intuition with their chord shapes, vocal exercises, and understanding of song movement in terms of theory.

I offer beginner guitar lessons, beginner singing lessons, and intermediate lessons that cater to each student’s unique talents and aspirations. My approach is designed to foster your musical growth in a supportive and engaging environment.

I specialize in Female voices, Christian Worship Music, country/folk/pop genres, songwriting, and Musical Theatre! I am professionally trained in both Operatic and Pop styles, but I prefer to not instruct Opera (with the exception of operatic musicals like Les Mis or Phantom of the Opera.) I can also help with vocal manipulation to sound like certain characters.

I currently help college students refine their musical and songwriting skills in my positions as both Music Director of Reformed University Fellowship and Vice President of a recording and writing group called Legacy Productions. I have experience as a Camp Counselor and as a Birthday Party Princess Performer so I am used to working with kids!

Logistics wise, I prefer to travel to my clients in the Chapel Hill Area or meet virtually.

Send me a text at (919) 475-9412 and let’s get started!
