We love teaching the next generation of upcoming musicians of all ages. Whether it's for fun or a more serious student, we take pride in teaching students properly. Setting up a good lesson plan, incorprating theory and proper technique.

We encourage good practice and take pride in motivating our students. All instructors are also professional musicians who play many shows/concerts in the region. We have a deep passion for music and enjoy transfering this to our students.

So far I have worked with a woman named Jennifer. She has been wonderful. She has an overtly welcoming and helpful energy. My nerves quickly subsided after spending a few minutes talking with her and once I got the first few notes out. She was open to listening to the artists I like and gave me attainable goals to work on over the next so I would not be overwhelmed.

This place is exactly what I’ve been needing to satiate my itch for music.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Teach new students to play songs, lewen proper technique and how to learn to read music. Setup a good lesson plan for effecient practice during the week.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Mike has been teaching for 25 years and the school of music has been established in Charlotte since 2010. All teachers are professional musicians and instructors. We make learning a fun but yet knowledgeable. Play your favorite songs within a few weeks.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Yes we generally charge by the month, but when a new student is interested we do setup trial lessons. This way the student gets a chance to learn about their instructor.

How did you get started teaching?

Mike studied drums and percussion privately for almost 15 years. Studied at LIU where he got his bachelor's in fine arts and performance. Since then Mike had played close to 10k shows in almost every state. Mike only hires experienced teachers who know how to work along with their student to get the best progesss out of them in a shirt time . Lessons are always fun but knowledgeable. It's important that students leave their lesson feeling they learned more before they came in, and have a big smile on the their face.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages welcomed, all skill levels. We teach from 4 years old and up and have lots of adults as well. We have almost just as many adults as we do children.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We have student recitals every 6 months and the students love to get a chance to perform in front of friends and family.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Speak to them on the phone, ask all important questions and setup a lesson to feel comfortable. Most times , students really enjoy their 1st lesson and continue on.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How long are lessons, practice expectations, what is covered in lessons and of they need to bring their instrument.
