What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First find out IF the physical requirements are met.
Then a test of dexterity.
Then some simple exercizes.
And some basic scales and chords.
Each week another excercize and skill will be added.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
40 years of playing music and studying how to use music theory in my own playing
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I only charge $25 a lesson until a student meets or passes the basic playing levels
How did you get started teaching?
I was playing Bass and guitar for a band in NewJersey, when my brother asked me to teach him to play guitar out in California. So I started sending him lesson plans via USPS Mail
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages, all genres, and most skill levels from beginner to intermediate players. And I even do guitar work for the more skilled players

I had a student graduate from the School of Rock in Florida recently. I attended his graduation concert. It really made my day as a teacher...
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A good teacher will be suportive and give you the right tools to build a healthy and productive understanding of music
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First, I would ask if any introduction to music theory will be given. Music is a language , and you should at least learn to speak it
