Everyone is different so we need to find what genre or genres you will enjoy the most. Fun becomes work and entertaining others, helping us all to heal up from a tough world becomes your gig.

I've always enjoyed learning and teaching. Music has always been a big part of living for me. So teaching music is just that much more fun. I consider myself to be an amoeba. I can shape myself around any situation. I learn from the student what tp teach. Well thats the goal anyway, lol.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I just want to know what they like. We learn that sound or sounds and play together. There are many exercises that increase hand strength but songs that mean something to the artist are often times much more effective in obtaining the growth that they need. Learning songs is what really got me growing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Certified teacher of history and exceptional children for 20 years has left me well prepared to teach. I am very student focused. The student's preferences are very important. I believe in keeping it fun even when its time to try a bar chord! Lol

How did you get started teaching?
I became a certified teacher after teaching for 5 years through the lateral entry program. I really enjoy watching students grasp their own identiyy and choices in music.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all yyped of students throughout my career. I performed live assessments in the classroom. I feel comfortable finding a learners style. For example, most love at least some visuals.
