Lisa Seawell has a passion to help children fall in love with piano and music. The fundamentals of piano and theory are approached with a fun attitude to keep every lesson fresh! Lisa mixes classical training with contemporary songs to keep kids excited about learning piano. Also, Lisa has a fun reward system that students love!! Students get a "credit card " that they can earn points on by practicing and playing theory games. Students can buy all sorts of fun prizes!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Every student is on a different musical journey so I like to know what my student is wanting to get out of piano lessons. Whether that is completing method books, learning to compose or focusing on modern pop songs.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have trained under the Royal Conservatory ( Canada ) in classical music and theory.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Lessons are $30 for 30 minutes. Monthly rates are calculated based on the amount of reserved lesson times. Ex. In a 4 week month( 30 minute lesson), the monthly rate will be $120)

How did you get started teaching?

I started playing piano in church when I was 13 and over the years I had people tell me that I should start teaching. I started teaching when I was 16 and fell in love with it ! Now I have been teaching for 20 years and still love every second of it!

I have worked with all types of students ranging from 3 - 73.
