About
I believe the one thing that makes studying music theory with me is I don't simply show you what to play, or how to sound. However, I provide you with the tools and knowledge for you to define your own style, sound.
I enjoy connecting with people from many different musical backgrounds and interests and learning from and about them. We can all learn from each other, and I appreciate the growth that I've experienced from those I have taught.

Frequently asked questions
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a BA in music Production and engineering. I studied music theory with guitar being my principle instrument in College. I have been teaching in both private and classroom settings for 11 years now.
How did you get started teaching?
I was inspired by my mentor. He was an amazing person that has taught hundreds of students over the years. However the one thing I appreciated about his teaching style is that none of his students sounded alike or like him. He taught them how to have their own identity within music.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you find a teacher that is going to give you the tools to help you develop a personality and sound. Try to stay away from the ones that show you how to play like them.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First one is defining what that need truly is. Everyday we wake up is a new day and feelings and minds change regularly.
