About this pro

I don't just teach a few chords and hand the Student a c.d. , then tell them to learn the song.

I teach the whole pkg. Scales, Music Theory, with a full curriculum targeting each individual student, and still have

a good time.

The excitement of watching a new student play their first song and accompany themselves. Hearing from a student who has become a Music professor, teacher or performer.

They took their time, gave over twice the lesson time with no extra charge, and taught me Music. Not just chords & songs.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I first make sure the student is enrolled because he or she has a passion to learn the instrument. We would also ask that the student would agree to sign an agreement to a minimum practice regime at home in between lessons. We teach at a pace Taylor Ed to each individual. We don't want to take the fun out of it. We 1st start out out with scales and familiar melodies, and tools so that it would be easy for the student to remember. Then we introduce chords to correspond to those scales. Then come songs, simple first, then graduating in difficulty.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been teaching since I was a teenager, I have continued to study for most of my life as well as a formal education in Music Ed. I am also a Music Dir., and Praise leader. I have studied all aspects of 18th century Music Theory & Composition. I have been a student and performer in the Opera and known as a leading Tenor in 4 Opera companies. I am a passionate Musician,Student, and Teacher. I have 5 children of which 2 girls are also seasoned performers.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

My tuition is as follow.
1/2 hr- 30.00 ( I don't recommend this option as by the time the Student arrives, removes their coat, gets their guitar out and tune up, we're left with 12 minutes of quality time before its time to " pack up" again. So therefore instead of doubling the fee, the charge for

1hr. Is only 40.00

additional time can be arranged to fit your schedule.

How did you get started teaching?

I first started teaching while very young but schooled privately. Then after H. S. Graduation I studied at Eastman School of Music and received my Bachelor's Degree. I have taught all my life since.
