Unlike traditional music institutions, we stive to shape our lessons for the individual, children to adults of all ages.
We also help special needs students achieve a positive musical experience. We have students is most of the highschools and middleschools in the area, and many of them audition for and go on to All County & All State bands.
We also cater to the home school communities in our area.
Music is my life's work as I have over 40 years in the music industry as a performer, producer, arranger, engineer, programmer and composer.
Education is a passion of mine. I am able share my invaluable experiences from touring with high profile artist, recording and producing for major record companies, and compsing with major songwriters and artist.
I have taught music in Clayton, North Carolina since 2004.I was also an Adjunct Professor @ NCCU between 2007-2011,where I taught music productionand an adjunct professon @ JCC @010-2011, where I taught drum set & Percussion.
Hampden started his formal training in 1973, studying at the Jazz Mobile with Charlie Percep, and at Mannes College of Music with Norman Grossman. He went on to attend Bronx Community College in 1977, where he received private lessons at the Metropolitan Opera with Richard Horowitz. During his first semester at Bronx Community College, a friend told him about the Dance Theatre of Harlem. Hampden had to be involved and joined the orchestra—a position he still holds today. While at the Dance Theatre of Harlem, Hampden was also a drum and percussion instructor at the Harlem School of the Arts, and at Seton Hall University in the Black Music Department. But his talent reached far beyond Harlem. Hampden has touched and enhanced the New York theater community as well, performing for various shows on Broadway, The Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, and at The Richard Allen Center for Cultural Arts.
