My teaching approach:
I like to keep guitar fun and simple. It really is an easy instrument to learn. I've played guitar for 23 years and am constantly learning something new. I can teach most styles and will work with students to learn what they want to learn and will help in making it all make sense
My influences are:
I grew up listening to guitar players like Slash, Peter Gilmore, and Jimmy Paige. But, I've really been influenced along the way by they players who I have had the chance to jam or play in a band with over the years.

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
We go over the instrument and make sure the student is comfortable. Go over tuning and hand positions. Once the student is comfortable with his/her instrument, We begin on basic fretting and picking of each string while incorporating music theory into each exercise. This allows each student to move forward at a pace which they find comfortable and fun.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
We basically go over what the student has learned in the past, answer any questions the student may have and help correct fundamental errors. We simplify techniques and theories that need to be simplified, and we build off of that foundation weekly
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
Someone who is eager to learn and listens well. I also enjoy students who ask questions in order to fully understand what they are learning. I try to help them get over any nerves they may have. I like for the students and the lessons to be laid back and fun!
