Isaiah is the music teacher I've always wanted to meet. The professional and friendly approach to beginners and more advanced musicians alike along his stupendous skills in multiple instruments and singing is what sets him apart from anyone else I've been in touch with. It does not matter if you're just starting out on your musical journey or looking forward to expand your already acquired knowledge Isaiah has a lot to offer in any case. I met not only a music teacher but a great friend as well!

Isaiah is a smart, kind, and patient teacher. He has a free spirit and is open minded. But is also very structured when need be. I am very pleased with his teachings.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

Getting to know their personality and learning style, discovering their goals and helping them step into a vision of reaching them, and guiding them in learning fundamentals of their instrument.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Collegiate classical training, personal lessons with music professionals at home and out of state.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

Most student do weekly half hour or one hour lessons for $25/$50 respectively.

How did you get started teaching?

Passion!  Enjoyment!  I've been described as patient and articulate with helping explain concepts and I enjoy speaking/communicating as much as I do music.

What types of students have you worked with?

All ages and many different personalities (as young as 4 and old as 84)

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

Jazz wedding gig for a lovely couple -- they expressed their unique cultural values in their reception and it was a joy to witness and be part of through music.

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Down to earth and relaxed (in conjunction with professionalism) can be more flexible working with you than the more corporate atmospheres of music lessons that have shown up in recent history.

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

"Do I enjoy learning?"

"What mindset do I need to make lessons a positive experience?"
