I specialize in Suzuki method, but am familiar with other methods as well. My teaching incorporates piano wellness concepts, for which I’ve been attending workshops periodically since the mid-90s. Also, I teach Suzuki Early Childhood classes under the class name Suzuki Music for Babies.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I will evaluate their goals, current level both technical & theoretical, and find out their style preferences. Also, discerning their strengths will help me determine where extra attention is needed.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is $54/hr ($27 per 1/2 hour lesson - I will prorate for different lesson times). Lessons are weekly; yearly average is about 3 lessons per month, factoring in holidays and flexible summer scheduling (I'm flexible with vacations, etc.). Tuition includes private lesson, any scheduled group lessons, and recitals. Student pays for books and other materials. Required book & CD is $19.95.

i work with all ages, including babies, and have also worked with the blind.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Student recitals, held twice a year, are always a highlight. I especially enjoy recognizing students who graduate to the next level.
