Grace Note Music Studio
About
My goal is to keep lessons fun and interesting for the student while developing within them the skills and musicality to enable them to one day become fine musicians.
It is so rewarding to watch my students develop within themselves a love for music and the piano that will remain with them for a lifetime.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Each lesson is planned to meet the individual needs and the learning style of the student. We typically spend time reveiwing new material, doing theory games, sight reading activities, technique activities, rhythm and music history.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have more than 35 years teaching and performing experience. I have a BS in music ministry. While in college, I was honored to contribute written work and recorded material for a collegiate level music appreciation textbook written by Dr. Michael Naylor. In college I learned to identify learning styles of students and how to relate to children in ways that enable them to understand music theory and develop the technique necessary to become proficient at the keyboard.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I have a flat monthly tuition rate. More details will be availble upon consultation.
How did you get started teaching?
As an advanced piano student, I began to substitute teach on occasion for my own piano teacher. It was then that I developed a passion for seeing students succeed in their piano study.
