About
I love teaching piano. I help students play by ear And teach them how to read music. Students who study with me advance very quickly as I can see their invidual paths to development. My teaching includes elementary school-age children up to Graduate Piano students. Two of my studentshave played Carnegie Hall in New York and I have played there twice. My goal is for students to have Fun and enjoy playing the music that appeals to them plus expand their musical horizons.
I enjoy showing students where the tunes are in the music, what supports the music rhythmically and how to sight-read.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
My usual lesson format is to teach a new scale, arpeggio or chord progression as a warmup so students can eventually play easily in every key.
Then we work on a new piece and then fine-tune an older one.
Then we work on improvvising based on simple chord progressions and melodies.
These activities are recorded into student's notebook.
Sometimes I send an accompaniment straight to student to practice individual hand with that accompaniment.
