Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I start with every student the same way; "What do you want to achieve".
Some are interested in simply gaining a level of freedom when it comes to expressing themselves musically, others want to be able to show up and rock a jam session, and a few here and there want to really master their musicality to play at a world-class level.
My focus is on what the student wants to achieve, and then hold them accountable to what it takes to get there.
Once I get an understanding of your goals, we will put together a list of milestones you will have to reach in order achieve your goals. From there, you will be guided through the necessary concepts, given exercises to improve skills, and ultimately tested to ensure mastery of every concept.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
B.A. from Berklee College of Music in Jazz Composition and Film Scoring

Proficient on Electric Bass
Executive Produced and Released 5 Studio Albums
Successful Entreprenuer (www.PointMotionControl.com) for musicians looking to improve their business skills.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
It's important that students have the necessary materials before starting lessons (i.e. access to a piano for piano lessons). Outside of the cost for materials, lessons are priced as follows:
$40 for 30 minute lesson
$60 for 1 hour lesson
How did you get started teaching?
After my first year at Berklee, I started teaching children in my neighborhood and eventually sorrounding cities. Since then I've developed a passion for teaching and helping people realize their fullest potential.
My favorite part of teaching is when students no longer need me to grow. I feel like I've done my duty when students are in a position to start teaching themselves. Learning music shows someone how to realize a goal or vision that feeds the soul. Once that is unlocked in someone, that ability expands into all parts of their life and everytime that happens it makes a change in that person from their confidence, their aspirations, and even to their understanding of what makes them truly happy.
