Pfafftown Piano believes that even the very young child can benefit from piano lessons. Our degreed, enthusiastic instructor and student teacher make lessons fun for ages 3 and up, believing each and every student deserves top-notch instruction. We LOVE beginners and want to be your very first studio!
Amy Turner holds degrees in Organ Performance and Church Music, and has 27 years of experience teaching children and adults piano, voice, handbells and chorus. Amy has taught those with special needs and even the blind! Pfafftown Piano hires one student teacher each year who teaches coached by the lead teacher.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
New students receive a lesson method that suits personality and goals, with encouraging and enthusiastic support from the teacher.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Amy Turner began piano lessons at age 4, and began teaching music and accompanying for choirs at age 13. By 15, she was serving as organist in churches and gaining momentum as a pianist. During and after attending Meeedith College to major in music, Amy taught private piano, organ and voice, and served at various churches across NC as organist/music associate.
Amys life has been laser-focused on the love and study of music, and her extensive experience teaching - and making it fun! - offers the best foundation for her students.
