Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first meeting with a new student, preferably in-person whenever possible, includes learning what the student wants to learn and what their expectations of lessons are, and then we try and tailor our lessons to the specific needs and wants of the student, all the while making sure that the idea and concepts we teach are reinforced in the process.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Rob: BA in Worship Ministry (Basically a church Music Degree) from Briercrest College in Canada and Seventeen years of private teaching experience. I've worked under and with a lot of different music educators.
Amber: Was a Vocal Performance major and has been teaching now for over a year.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Generally our rate is $75 per month... this works out to 4 (sometimes 5) half-hour lessons each month. For students that want longer lessons or more frequent lesson, we can work with you and your budget, too.
