What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Process varies with each individual, dependent upon age and previous study, if any.
All lessons are one on one, providing maximum opportunity for the students to progress at their own speed and ability.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BME Degree, MM in performance Degree, and a lifetime of
performing and teaching. I have taught in public schools,
universities, and served as head of the music department at the School of Performing Arts in Orlando, FL.
I have been a member of the National Guild of Piano Teachers for many, many years and am currently chairperson of the Lincoln Chapter.
I have performed as a solo artist, as well as with chamber music groups and with orchestras.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is due a the beginning of the month.
Lessons are weekly, either half hour, 45 minute, or one
hour.
The usual is one less per week, however two lessons per
week is possible,
How did you get started teaching?
I began as an adjunct teacher in university, and later established my own studio.
