About
Alyssa Morrison is an Omaha native, who has over 25 years of combined musical experience with the piano, harp, and the violin. Alyssa was one multiple superior and excellent performance rating awards in numerous piano competitions held by the Music Teacher's National Association in Nebraska and holds a piano pedagogy certificate course of completetion.
Alyssa is a teacher who models patience, creativity in teaching new musical skills, growth accountability partner, and gives an endless amount of encouragement to her students.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I encourage to student to take an active role in the development of their music study. I ensure this by allowing the student to communicate the type of music they would like to play on the piano and we start their personal curriculum development from there on.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
-A collective experience in musicianship for over 25 years (piano, harp, and the violin).
-Work related experiences in early childhood for over 6 years including curriculum development.
-Piano Pedagogy Certificate of Completion in 2018.
-Youth group teaching experiences within the non-profits such as a local church music program, Omaha Girls Rock, and Arts for All.
-Current music study at University of Nebraska at Omaha.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
$20 per 30 minute lesson. Students are required to buy the recommended books/materials needed for their piano development.

Describe a recent event you are fond of.
During this difficult time of this global pandemic, I feel very fortunate to create a world of peace to familes through music.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure you know what you want or what your primary goals is in music. Next, keep those goals in mind and find a genuine teacher that will make a curriculum specifically for you and your musical needs. The rest is history!
