Naomi’s Piano Lesson
About
I began playing piano at the age of six and have won numerous competitions in South Korea. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with a piano concentration from Nyack College, and I also completed a post‑baccalaureate program in Music Education. Currently, I work as a general music and orchestra director in a public school, teaching students ranging from Pre‑K to high school, as well as adult learners.
Each year, my students have the opportunity to perform in a recital for their families and friends. I do not limit my teaching to classical music — I am happy to help students learn popular songs they love. For those looking for a challenge, I also prepare students for ABRSM examinations.
I have worked with adult beginners who had little or no prior music experience, and it has been rewarding to help them progress to playing pieces by composers such as Mozart and Beethoven.
My lesson rates are $45 for 30 minutes, $55 for 45 minutes, and $70 for 60 minutes.
I truly love teaching piano. It is deeply rewarding to watch my students grow and gain confidence. When a student tells me, “I love music” or “I love to play piano,” it brings a smile to my face and reminds me why I teach. Helping students achieve their goals — whether it’s a successful recital or passing an exam — gives me a strong sense of fulfillment. Teaching piano is my passion and my life.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I had few adults students who were beginner(does not have music background) and did not have lesson for long time. I worked well with them and now they are able to play famous composer’s music such as Mozart and Beethoven.
I love to teach my students. I feel achievement when my students improve a lot. When my students talk to me "I love music. I love to play piano." that makes me to smile and enjoy my job.
Also, when students improve after recital or major tests, I feel satisfy with my job. Teaching piano is my life.
