Justin Brown Piano Lessons
About
Hello my name is Justin Brown. I am a current graduate of Westminster Choir College with a Bachelor's degree in piano performance. I have been playing the piano for more than 13 years. I also play the guitar, violin, and organ.
I have competed in various piano competitions and placed nationally in the National Fine Arts Festival, part of the Assemblies of God, and The African-American Cultural Technological and Scientific Olympics (ACT-SO). I am also currently the accompanist at Mt. Zion United Mthodist Church in Hillsborogh, NJ. I played a piano concerto in April of 2016.
I am currently accepting new students for piano lessons. If your child wants to learn how to play the piano, I would gladly accept them. I accept people of all ages and all tasks. I teach all genres of music including classical, pop, R&B, Gospel, jazz, and sacred music. I want students to succeed and find their passion at the piano whether they are a beginner or an advanced piano player by their next lesson. I want the students to see piano as a fun experience. Please call or email me if you’re interested. I am glad to work with you. I can come to your home or you can to my home in Somerset, NJ.
I like learning about the students in the music that they play.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For complete beginners, I start them with piano games to gain interest in the piano, learn the parts of the piano and explain the low and high sounds. For people with some musical experience, I start them with repertoire that suits their level.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelors of Music degree in Piano Performance from Westminster Choir College.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
The price is $40 for an hour lesson and $20 for a half-hour lesson.
What types of students have you worked with?
This is my first time.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look for a teacher that can teach all genres of music, not just one.
