About
I am a graduate of Montclair State University where I received a degree in Voice Performance. In addition to having performed as a classical singer for many years in the NYC area, I have over 25 years of teaching experience with adults, teens and children. I work in my home studio in West Orange, NJ. My studio stands out because I evaluate each student personally to identify their strengths and weaknesses and I tailor the lesson individually based on the student's needs and goals. I teach most styles (classicial, musical theater/broadway, pop, rock) and all levels from beginnner to professional.
I teach because I enjoy helping others learn and acheive their goals.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, I will spend some time talking with them. I will ask about their prior experience and future goals. Next, I will evaluate their voice and give suggestions on how we can work together to acheive their goals. Then we will begin on learning proper vocal technique step by step.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance. I have performed as a professional opera singer in the tri-state area and around the country for many years. I also have experience singing a lot of musical theater roles as well. I have taught voice both in my home in West Original and at The Original Music School in Morristown. In my many years of teaching, I have helped over 100 students better their voices and reach their singing goals.

What types of students have you worked with?
All voice types, all ages and all levels. I have many students who just want to audtion for high school productions and many who want become recording artists. Some just want to sing as a hobby and because it makes them feel good.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Please do your research carefully. Just because someone can sing well, it does not mean that they are able to teach singing effectively. Every voice is different. Every student is different. A "cookie-cutter" approach does not work. It takes special training and insight to be able to evaluaute each student and provide them with the exact type of training that they need to succeed.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are your immediate and long term goals?
What type of musical styles do you want to sing? Which ones would you like to try?
Who are your favorite singers and why?
