*** Lesson Details ***
I am an easy going person, but I do believe that students have to put forth effort to succeed. I choose my curriculum depending on the level of the student and the instrument. For beginning string students, I typically use Essential Elements 2000, and for beginning piano students I use the Alfred's Adult Basic Piano Course.
After 3 months of lessons, a student that has begun with me will have the basics of the instrument down and be able to read basic notation.
After 6 months, the student should have completed book one and be ready to start some more in depth studies that will concentrate on mastering the instrument.
*** Travel Equipment ***
I have my own Violin. Students would need an instrument of their own. I will come to where the student lives to teach their lessons.
*** Specialties ***
I am a classically trained Violinist
I am good at teaching pianists to improvise by reading a lead sheet.
