The last 10 years took a toll on my digestive system and more. I followed the route that the majority of us do; conventional medicine, ppis (proton pump inhibitors) and other medications.
I also dealt with severe anxiety and panic attacks. I followed the conventional way-saw a doc, tried a few meds, went to therapy, (which helped a bit- a good therapist is hard to come by).
I went through stages. Things would get a bit better for a while then, episodes would come back with a vengeance.
The last few years have been quite exhausting. I felt trapped, with no hope that I would find some kind of balance or way to control/tame/handle my episodes (both digestive and anxiety related); not to mention that medical bills kept piling up and would take forever to be paid off. It was a vicious circle.
I had always wanted to try yoga but it was either too expensive or too far.
Like most working moms, I had an 8-5 gig, had to pick my kid up from an after school program, get home and make dinner.
It was kind of hard to gather the strength, will and time, to make it anywhere else but the couch!
Then, I met Diana when she offered an Ayurvedic introductory class at a local yoga studio.
I was so impressed, intrigued and wanted to learn more.
So thats when I started working with Diana.
In the beginning of February 2020, is when things started changing for me.
Thats when I had the courage to hope that I could take hold of my health.
After an initial Ayurvedic consultation with Diana, she has been by my side every step of the way.
She is detailed, thorough, not dismissive, always encouraging and right on point-No BS, but loving and understanding at the same time.
I love her genuine and matter-of-fact approach.
She put a program/routine together for me, based on yoga (breathing/postures/meditation) exercise, and Ayurvedic recommendations.
I was a bit scared that it wouldnt work for me but I was so ready to try something besides what I had been doing because what I had been doing, wasnt working for me.
I think Albert Einstein said The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.
So, I was ready to do the work, to do something different.
And things start changing, slowly, but surely.
It took a while to get used to this healthy routine.
But the more I did it, the better I felt and the more consciousness I became.
My digestive issues subdued considerably and so did my anxiety and panic attacks.
I learned the importance of being patient with myself.
I learned the importance of being consistent and to not expect perfection the minute I started something new!
    Everything takes time.
I learned that what I was trying to heal, did not happen overnight, so it wouldnt be fixed overnight!
I am only in the beginning stages and I am very excited about the changes this journey will produce, in all aspects my life.
I am really looking forward to this journey with Diana by my side, as my mentor, my guide, my teacher.
Thank you for all you do Diana.

I love the tempo of Yoga And Ayurveda Living.
    It is frame-by-frame.
Frame advance is very important for yoga with CORRECT POSTURE.
In other words, Diana teaches gradually. Because she observes the movements of everyone.
Thanks to that I get miraculous effects every time.
This is not a flattery. This is the truth!

My relationship with Diana started out as a private yoga instructor. Through her teachings I learned a lot about myself and my body. She taught me poses that were specifically good for me, she also taught me about many foods to eat that were also good for me. There are countless things I have learned from her that are advantageous to me. One thing that I love about Diana is that she practices what she preaches.
Diana also works for me as my dogs caretaker and she always takes care of them like they are her own.
Diana is a very kind compassionate person. She always put people first and takes very good care of them and their needs. It is a pleasure working with Diana , she is a very bright caring person and I always learn new things from her.
Diana works for me at Stepping Forward Counseling Center and has always been open to learn new things and does anything that is asked of her. Not only is she a yoga instructor/nutrition consultant for the clients, she has worked as my assistant as well as in several other capacities. She is always early for work, takes on many different tasks and always demonstrates the utmost professionalism. As the CEO, I find it difficult to find committed dedicated employees. Diana is an employee that I am honored to have as part of my team.

    Frequently asked questions

I meet with the student/talk on the phone/email to discuss the students questions and concerns.  When we meet in person, I observe physical, physiological, emotional, and energetic qualities and structure the class/service to be supportive for the student's needs!

For cooking classes, we discuss what types of things they would like to learn and I offer ideas for crafting a class that provides them with choices for learning in a fun, intelligent and creative atmosphere.
