Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
First, my students usually audition to be study with me. I am a concert pianist and I take my students very seriously. I am strict and demanding but at the same time I am very nice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Most of my musical education took place at The Juilliard School of Music in New York City. I auditioned for the Pre-College Division at the age of 10 and received my Bachelor's and Masters degrees there as well.
As soon as I entered the College Division, I became a teaching assistant to my Pre-College teacher. That was in 1982. I have been teaching and performing all my life.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My prices depend on the age of the student.
Usually, young children cannot sit through a lesson which lasts an hour. So, I start with shorter lessons twice a week.
My fees are:
$70 for 30 min.
$85 for 45 min.
$100 for 60 min.I
How did you get started teaching?

children from the age of 5 as well as older adults
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Decide what you would like to achieve in music and then look for a teacher that meets your needs.
I enjoy teaching students that are eager to learn and want to participate in recitals.
