Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I ask questions to learn the student's learning goals; I then focus lessons based on those goals. I also take the student through a basic audition test to gain knowledge of the student's current level with the guitar and adjust teaching plan accordingly to fit their aptitude.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been playing guitar for 37 years. I studied music and classical guitar at San Jose State University. I also can focus on improvisational practices, ear training, and jamming techniques used by jazz musicians. Learned under
Barham Behrooozi at SJSU who was a disciple of Segovia.
