Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:
In the first lesson I like to know what the student has learned and what they want to learn. I'll have them play their favorite piece if they already know some guitar. If not, I ask them what kind of music they want to learn and how much time they have to practice. Then we make a plan depending on their situation.
A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:
In my guitar lessons I teach what the student wants to learn. Some students know what songs they want to learn and I can teach them by simply learning songs. Some students prefer to learn by the books and I can do that as well. Both methods teach students just as effectively, it is a matter of preference. I also teach songwriting.
The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:
My ideal guitar student wants to learn. Anyone who loves music and is just willing to try is always great to be around.
