Kristie’s Music Studio

My daughter has studied harp with Kristie for six years. My daughter has benefitted by Kristies ability to understand her as a person as well as a musician. Kristie has a positive teaching style and can give feedback and motivation in constructive ways. Kristie has an extensive background in harp performance, including a doctoral degree and has received many prestigious national awards in harp performance. Because of this background, my daughter has learned some of the greatest harp repertoire ever written while studying with Kristie, and has also developed a solid technique and a strong, resonant tone in her playing. Additionally, Kristie has been one of the most supportive music teachers we have had, and has traveled long distances to be at special events. She is always helping my daughter to be the best musician and person she can be. We highly recommend her as a teacher!

I was nervous walking into my first piano lesson, as I was COMPLETELY out of my element, though I knew that I had a passion to start learning. Kristie made me feel at home and reassured me that this was normal. She is extremely informative, and not only teaches you what you need to know, but explains WHY things are the way they are- which further developed my love for the music. Also, I have noticed that she is good at knowing where to start. She saw that I was picking it up quickly, so advanced quickly to challenge me more. Loved every lesson so far, and look forward to the future ones as well!!!!
