I have over 13 years of teaching experience with a Doctor of Musical Arts, Master of Music, and Bachelor of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Southern California. I teach learners of all ages including individuals with special needs.

I believe in providing individual, specialized lesson plans for each student as each student has their own interests and needs. I strongly believe in teaching the fundamentals of piano playing (technique, rhythm, theory, varied repertoire, sight-reading) while also allowing students to have some choice in the repertoire they learn, thus fostering greater motivation.

    I have two children - ages 7 and 9 - who took lessons with Bethany this year. We have had an excellent experience.
    Bethany has an outstanding capacity to gauge the ability of her students and to push them (gently!) to excel. Time and again she encouraged my children to play pieces and to take on challenges that I thought were beyond them. Time and again, she was right about their abilities. I have been delighted to watch both of my children grow so much under her instruction.
    Bethany creates multiple opportunities for her students to perform throughout the year. We were very impressed by how clearly she telegraphs to her students the need to take each performance seriously and to treat every audience to a polished and professional performance.
    Bethany is also, quite simply, wonderful with children. Our two children have different personalities and she found ways to relate to and motivate each of them. She can work with them effectively on their best days and their worst. Both of my children really like her - they find her genuinely warm and caring, and they can tell that she takes them seriously. They look forward to lessons and they work hard all week so that they will not let Bethany down. Her expectations are high, but she is also careful to nurture her students self-esteem and to teach them how to move beyond their mistakes.
    There are many other wonderful things I can say about Bethany. She is very responsive to emails and text messages. She always follows up when she says she will. She is never late for a lesson and frequently spends extra time with her students at the end of the lesson. She emphasizes technique and other skills, even as she ensures that her students are genuinely enjoying the music they are encountering and mastering
    In short, Bethany is an all-around wonder as a piano instructor. We have had a very positive experience with Bethany and would recommend her unreservedly to anyone.

    Its such a privilege to have Dr. Campbell to teach our 3 kids Piano!!!
    We have been with Dr. Campbell for the last 6 years. All 3 of our kids have different interests and styles of learning, and Dr. Campbell is able to help all of them keep their interests in piano. She takes the time identify their music interest and utilizing that, find the pieces for them to play to keep them engaged and excel. We are so thankful to have Dr. Campbell be the piano teacher for us!

    Dr. Bethany Campbell has been teaching piano to our fifteen-year-old daughter Nicole for many years now.     I cannot express enough what an excellent instructor, Pianist and person Dr. Campbell is. Miss Bethany has been the instructor for our son for about 2 years now.     I was looking for a new piano teacher for my daughter who began piano at the age of seven and was now 16 years of age. Her first teachers did not give her a strong foundation, she would only learn the songs, play them fast, and they would pass her on to the next composition. When we came to our first meeting with Dr. Bethany Campbell who gave us a free consultation, my daughter and I were amazed at her professionalism and passion for excellence!     Frequently asked questions

    First, I conduct a complimentary, preview lesson with a student to see if they/their parents feel like we are a good match. Before this preview lesson, I ask that students/parents complete a questionnaire and return to me which will allow me to design a tailored first lesson plan. I also ask parents to read through the studio policies before taking the time to have a preview lesson. My goal is to make every student a self-sufficient, well-rounded pianist, bolstering their strengths and improving upon their weaknesses in addition to helping them achieve invaluable life skills such as increased self-esteem, expression, discipline and public performance.

    Lessons occur in my home studio in Summerlin or online. There are typically 4 lessons/month. Some students have 8 lessons/month. I will message you with current rates.

    In 2010, I was asked by family friends if I could begin teaching their three children. From there, I grew a private piano studio. Additionally, I have been teaching piano online since 2019.

    I have worked with a wide range of students from four to seventy+ year olds. Not only do I have experience teaching privately but also group classes at the college level. I have and contninue to teach students with special needs as well.

    Look for someone with abundant experience in the field. Do not go off of price alone or else you may be setting your child up for a not so good experience with music that could leave them disliking it for the rest of their lives. I have heard way too many stories like this.
