He is talented, yet not heady...he explains technique in an easy to understand way. He is patient. Its not about him...its about the student and he is flexible when it comes to frequency of lesson schedule. Dave has also helped me to grow, even though my work and home provide limited time for me to practice. He keeps me om point and when I stray from his instruction, he brings me back to center...He has enhanced me skill sets. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Determine thru discussion their goals, then analyze their current status and skill level. I then will form a loose lesson plan with the intent of giving them a path to their goal.
I always would suggest a basic theory knowledge, as I feel learning the instrument is key to being a musician rather then just being able to copy songs.
