About
I have a Masters Degree in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School in New York City and have been teaching children and adults of all levels for over 30 years. I feel a tremendous responsibility to help each student achieve his/her goals both at the keyboard and in life in their own unique way. My first priority is to help each student attain a level of instrumental and expressive proficiency that he/she only dreamed they could reach, as well as be a sounding board for the every-day challenges that a particular student may be confronting at any given moment.
Since I am also an internationally-recognized performer, I draw upon my experience appearing in public in my teaching as well. By sharing my in-concert experience with my students, many of them have been able to become accomplished performers as well. For more information about my career as a performing pianist, feel free to go to my website at www.johndavispianist.com.
My teaching studio is extremely conveniently located. Situated in beautiful, historic Brooklyn Heights, it is easily accessible to those coming from Cobble Hill, Boerum Hill, Park Slope, DUMBO, Downtown Brooklyn, and Lower Manhattan, as well as the Borough Hall and Jay St.-Metrotech subway stations servicing the 2/3, 4/5, R, F, and A trains.
