What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Whenever working with a new student I like to get to know them. Their interests, their previous musical knowledge, and current goals. I like to implement theory, classical repertoire, and learn pieces that the student has interest in. Keeping the class balanced with fundamentals and music that will keep motivation is important.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I graduated from Millikin University with a B.A in music (2014)

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching at summer camps while in high school. Then continued when I moved to New York in 2014. I've taught privately and at music schools for over 10 years.
What types of students have you worked with?
I worked with students from young to adults, and also with students who have special needs.
