About
Hi I'm Ian Russo. I spent years in highly rated restaurants around the world. Taking all I learned back to New York, i learned a completely new style of cooking, Hawaiian fusion cuisine, from chef Roy Yamaguchi at the famed Roy’s. I later went back with these newly acquired skills to Hawaii where I served as executive chef at the award-winning Michel’s in Honolulu. Returned back to New York and opened Dirtyburger restaurant in Plainview NY. I have competed on "Beat Bobby Flay" as well as been featured on "Burgers Brew and Que" on the Cooking Channel in 2019
I have been teaching cooking for more than 15 years. I have experience with groups, couples as well as one-on-one. I have also done cooking dinner parties. My passion is educating and customer satisfaction. My goals are to teach you the skills you need to be a successful home chef and to feel at the end of our time that i over delivered and left you feeling confident in your ability.
