About

Greetings, music enthusiasts! I'm Christine, one of the co-founders of the Contemporary School of the Arts.

A place where children and beginners find their rhythm and soar into the world of music.

At our school, we specialize in nurturing young talents and beginners, providing a welcoming space where they can explore the joys of music at their own pace. From the very first piano key to the melodies of a budding vocalist, we're here to support and guide every step of the way.

Our tailored curriculum is crafted with the specific needs of children and beginners in mind. Through engaging activities, interactive lessons, and individualized attention, we make learning music both fun and rewarding.

But more than just teaching notes and rhythms, we strive to instill a lifelong love for music in our students. Through our supportive community and passionate instructors, we create an environment where musicians can thrive and grow.

So, whether your child is eager to tickle the ivories or you're taking your first steps into the world of music, the Contemporary School of the Arts is here to help you make beautiful music together. Join us, and let's explore the wonderful world of music side by side.

    Frequently asked questions

My methodology includes a customized lesson plan for the online learner that will be geared towards your musical goals. Educational content will be available through my online classroom for download. Assignments will be given in accordance with your development in the form of video and/or audio files when necessary. Virtual concerts /recitals are available for students who reach a particular level.

I studied Music and Theater at Montclair State University earning a BA degree along with a teaching license in performing arts. Currently, I'm continuing my music education at the renowned Berklee College of Music.

Private lessons begin at $38 a/half hour.

I have always had a passion for teaching, at an early age I started covering classes for other teachers and realized this was something I wanted to as a career.

I work with total beginners. My student roster ranges from 3 years old to over 70 years old. It doesn't matter the age as long as you're a beginner and eager to learn.

I have several events I am fond of, but I remember working as an international performer, touring throughout the country of China as a lead singer for the state of the arts Thai City Theater. This was one of my fondest memories. I also have worked as a lead production singer for the renowned cruise line, Carnival; sailing the Western and Eastern Caribbean islands performing Las Vegas-style production shows.

My advice would be to follow your heart, you can always tell if you feel a connection with someone. Working creatively is not easy and it's important to work with someone who fully understands your musical needs and goals.

Always think about what you want to achieve artistically. Once you finalized your artistic goals then write down a list of questions for your prospective teachers.
