About
Looking for engaging piano lessons from an experienced piano teacher?
With two decades of piano teaching experience across the United States, Canada, and beyond, I've honed effective teaching methods suitable for students of all ages and proficiency levels. My approach facilitates gradual skill development, enabling students to swiftly master pieces and grasp new musical concepts.
I recently relocated to Columbia, MO in August 2023, following the completion of my doctorate in piano performance at UC's College-Conservatory of Music (CCM). Prior to this, I served as the Coordinator of Accompanying at the University of Akron. My academic journey has taken me to various corners of the globe, including Korea, Russia (Saint-Petersburg Pre-Conservatory), Canada (McGill University, Université de Montreal), and beyond. While my specialization lies in classical music, I am proficient in various musical styles and relish guiding students in exploring the genres that pique their interest.
Within my studio, students cultivate their musical talents through regular performance opportunities (multiple times a year), meticulous technique training, comprehensive music theory, ear training, and introductory improvisation. Together, we tailor a curriculum that aligns with each student's unique interests and long-term aspirations.
My purpose in teaching is to share my profound love for music and to assist you in nurturing both your skills and a deep-seated passion for music. I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to embark on this musical journey with you.
