About
Maya Baum was born in Odessa, Ukraine. She started learning to play piano at the age of five and hasn’t stopped since. Maya studied at the Conservatory in Ukraine and achieved Master of Arts in piano performance and piano teaching. Later she accompanied for dancers and singers of the Odessa Theater of Opera and Ballet. Maya teach music to children’s and adults more than 20 years. After moving to the US, she worked as an accompanist at the “Andahazy School of Classical Ballet” in Minnesota and continues to teach. After moving to North Carolina she started a Baum’s Music school, were she teach piano to the class of 50 students. Her student’s knowledge evaluated through local and state festivals and competitions. Maya’s students have won many prizes and rewords at the different levels. Maya was elected as a president of Raleigh Music Club and continues teaching out of a private home studio.
In Texas, Colorado and Pennsylvania she restarted a Baum’s Music schools were she teach piano to the class of 25 students and teaches music at the Coppell Conservatory. Her student’s knowledge evaluated through local and state festivals and competitions.
In Texas Maya also worked in Brookhaven College as a Performance Arts Specialist for Dance department.
