My name is JunZhao Deng, originally from Guangzhou, China. I am a classically trained pianist, with my bachelor's degree in music education from Xinghai Conservatory of Music and my master's degree in piano performance from Kent State University.
Over the past 10 years, I have taught private lessons to students of all ages and playing levels. Students who study with me can expect to gain a better understanding of music theory as well as technique. I strive to push my students to their maximum potential, and will encourage them to participate in concerts, competitions, etc.
In my career, I have performed in numerous competitions in China, such as the DeYiShuangQing Piano Competition, winning awards such as the Guangzhou Golden Award and Hong Kong International Piano Competition Frist Prize.
I am personally trained in classical music, but I have a great respect for all genres of music, and encourage my students to listen and play more than classical.
The piano is an unbelievable instrument, the sound can make a world difference. When I saw my students have fun with playing the piano, I felt this is one of the most amazing things in the world.
My son had a first lesson. We are so excited and Ryan is awesome.
My first lesson with Ryan and he was quite patient with me. I really enjoyed having the lesson.
Ryan is a delight and a very patient teacher. I am older and need things explained sometimes more than once. He was patient and kind. I look forward to continuing my lessons with him.
My son first lesson was on yesterday and he really enjoyed himself. Mr.Deng is really patient and nice and I know for a fact I made the perfect decision hiring him.
I would like to ask them to perform something they learned before, then I would ask them about some basic, for instance, music theory or scales. After I will make plans for them for how to practice in the right way.

First, the teacher can respond to any questions that you have. Second, it is good to take some trial lessons to find the right teacher for you. Third, you should find a teacher with patience.
What do I want to learn/gain from lessons? How long do I want to take lessons for and how often per week?
