We at The LMC are proud of our heritage, place in the community and of our services. We are qualified and eager to help you with any musical education or service you are looking for. Our instructors all hold degrees in music (some at the graduate level), have a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience (with positive results), and are extremely active as performers at a professional level (locally as well as nationally). All lessons and programs at The Lakewood Music Collective focus on technical skills, general musical knowledge/theory, programmatic and historical elements, performance, repertoire - and of course HAVING FUN WITH MUSIC! We offer on=on-one lessons to anyone 5 years old and up, developing personalized lesson plans for each student as an individual. Our Rockin' Tots program provides music enrichment to students as young as 6 months old, and include different games, puzzles, and other activities that while remaining fun and keeping the students interest, impart the musical skills needed to enjoy music throughout their lifetime. Servicing all abillities, beginners are more than welcome, as are advanced players who need to brush up on a few things. We also offer student rock bands, jazz bands, blues bands, bluegrass bands and chamber music sessions led by seasoned coaches - providing an outlet to execute and further develop newly-acquired skills. Regular concerts and recitals are offered throughout the year at various venues, and we supply live music for all occasions with both student and instructor groups. Finally, we offer music therapy! Our Board Certified Music Therapists are egar to help and bring the legitamate healing powers of music to you!
