Having been raised in Asia and educated in Vienna, Austria, and having earned my doctorate at the University of Cincinnati, I bring a global perspective to the interpretation of classical and popular piano music.

I have taught private lessons and master classes in Asia, Europe, and America, and this wide range of styles and cultures has enabled me to develop a comprehensive teaching method.

I have successfully prepared students for competitions and university entrance auditions on three continents. Several of my students have won awards and have been invited to perform at Carnegie Hall NYC. My experience is your advantage!

I am a people person. I get along well with students of any age, and any level. I enjoy walking with my students through their piano journey. Seeing them respond positively to my enthusiasm is my greatest joy.

Frequently asked questions

I received my bachelor's and master's degrees in piano performance from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna, Austria, and Doctor of Musical Arts from the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where I worked as a graduate assistant at the Instrumental Accompaniment Department and Secondary Piano Department.

I taught my little sister when I was a young girl in Taiwan. I began teaching professionally in 1991 in Vienna, Austria. I was formerly a faculty member at Communiversity in Vienna, Music School in Steyr, Austria and Tainan University of Arts and Technology, Taiwan. I currently teach at the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati.

I have students of all ages and levels, from beginners, to international competition and Examinations award-winners. My youngest student is 5 years old and I have several adult students. Several of my former students have gone on to become piano teachers, themselves.

We usually have at least one studio recital per year, and it is the highlight of the season and the most fun for parents and students from all over the Greater Cincinnati area. Last year our Spring Recital was held at the Clifton Cultural Arts Center.
