George Gecik is a phenomenal teacher! George has a wonderful connection with his students and is versatile in many instruments. He has taught my 13 year old son guitar for the past 3 years and he is playing at a professional level. My son learned quickly and grew a love and appreciation for music because of George. This teacher is possibly one of the best teachers for Classical guitar and many other guitar styles which makes him a great teacher for any type of student.

George’s approach was obviously correct as 45+ years later I am still playing !! I also still have a guitar I bought through him. I’m sure that his teaching techniques have changed throughout the years because I really don’t know if “Leaving on a jet plane” is one of the songs his current students would want to learn. :) I also know that one of his other students spent some time rocking on the Sunset strip in Hollywood.
I used many of his techniques when giving lessons during my teaching days. He gave me a great foundation to play different genres with many groups over the years. Thanks for education!!

Really focuses on the fundamentals while having a good feel for different styles to build on. Great feel for the blues.

My daughter has been taking lessons with “Mr. George” for two years. We tried gymnastics, soccer, cross country etc. and all I heard were complaints from her. She doesn’t complain about going each week to see “Mr. George”. He makes learning guitar fun and that’s the beauty of his teaching style. Now, she does complain about having to practice each day, BUT not everything can be perfect. We’re big fans and in fact I just signed up today for four more months of lessons. He’s a winner when it comes to working with younger kids.

George is a master teacher. He builds an environment where the student is comfortable and feels confident in learning a new skill. He is able to adjust his strategies to the needs of his students. I’m an adult who always wanted to learn to play guitar and feel fortunate to have found him. I would highly recommend him to anyone one that wants to learn to play the guitar.
