Jay Albert founded Songdog Music in 2012 in Berea, Ohio. He offers comprehensive music education with a focus on inclusivity. With three music degrees and thirty years of innovative teaching and curriculum development, Jay provides expert instruction, in music of every style on: guitar, ukulele, bass, and voice.
Few educators can effectively guide musicians to their own expressive potential in music composition, songwriting, and improvisation. Jay relishes these opportunities and has helped grow creativity for individuals of all levels, even - believe it or not - young kids with no prior training.
Songdog Music has successfully taught thousands, from preschoolers to adults to seniors, and professional training. Teaching formats include online and in person - lessons, classes, and artist residencies for schools and community organizations.
