Lessons By Lisa

As a beginner vocalist, I am nervous singing around others, but always wanted professional guidance. Lisa helped me feel comfortable as she never reacted to my voice cracks or running out of breath in a way that made me embarrassed or scared in anticipation. She was most helpful in increasing my volume while singing. I always thought I was singing at a normal volume in my head, but she kept prompting me to sing louder which consequently improved my confidence. In singing more loudly and confidently, I noticed my consistency in hitting and holding notes improved as well. Lisa taught me how to sing in a few genres, including jazz, which I think is great for beginners as its often about improvisation and getting loose and creative with the notes on the page.

Lisa is a very patient person and did a great job getting my daughter to want to learn. She let her play what she wanted to play instead of forcing things on her. She was always calm and made you feel good about yourself. Just a very talented and good person.

Lisa taught both my kids and did a fantastic job. She has a way of making even the difficult lessons seem easy. I had always wanted to learn so I started taking lessons too. As a full time working Mom, there were often times when I just couldnt fit practice into my schedule but Lisa still found ways to help me progress. We are all so glad that we had a chance to learn from her ! We would highly recommend Lisa for anyone.

Lisa is patient, musically talented and talented as an instructor. She helps me see trends in music and fingering that allow me to improve my performance. She has boosted my confidence (as a 36 year old!) and I enjoy attending class with her every week. She has become a friend and Ive learned so much from Lisa!

I took lessons from Lisa for over 12 years, and I grew a tremendous amount as a musical student under her guidance. She is extremely skilled and very patient in her teaching methods, and she can instruct any level of student from a complete beginner to someone who has years of previous experience. I would definitely recommend!!

Lisa holds a very special place in my heart. She truly teaches from her heart and loves what she does. When I first starting taking lessons from Lisa I was in a really tough place as a teenager. Lisa stayed after hours to give me a chance at the piano and voice lessons but more than that she was my cheerleader and support. She would always pick music I was interested in but also made sure I had an understanding of the foundation. The compassion and generosity she showed me has helped form who I am as a person. She worked with me a lot to help manage my stage anxiety. Those tools I now use to help my patients when I see them in my office today:)
