Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The first lesson is free! That includes proper handling of the instrument during assembly and disassembly, proper breathing techniques, posture and tone production. Also if time permits and the student is successful at producing tones, we'll learn to play several notes and incorporate them into a simple song. For beginning students that participate in the school band, I will generally use the same method book being used in the band program, initially, to reinforce what the student in being taught in band.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
