What is your typical process for working with a new student?

I like to begin by assesing the individual student's interests in musical genres as well as desired goals for performance. I work through a variety of method books, and encourage proper alignment in form to not only prevent future injury, but attain peak performance through proper technique.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

Masters of Music Performance in Violin

Classical and Jazz Studies

Bachelor of Music Performance in Violin

Classical and Jazz Studies

Studied with great violinists from the Cleveland Orchestra and Pittsburgh Symphony, as well as the National Symphony. Jazz studies with great mentors like John Blake Jr., and members of the Turtle Island String Quartet.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

$20 30 minutes

$40 60 minutes

How did you get started teaching?

When I received concertmaster of the boardman orchestra in eighth grade my conductor asked me to beging teaching other students. I was advanced at that time studying under the college professor starting in seventh grade.

What types of students have you worked with?

I have taught music to 5 year olds to adults 60+, as well as children and adults with special needs.
