I am a professional musician, multi-instrumentalist who has over 40 years of musical experience, has played music in almost every style and genre, and a fantastic ear to help train your own!

I am also exceedingly creative & love to help my students grow in their improvising & composing abilities as well as their artistic expression & finding their own Voice.

I was raised surrounded by classical music, the Chicago symphony, opera 24/7. My parents were deeply into music & my mom a music major & piano teacher who started me on piano at age 5 or 6. By age 7 I was composing music & wrote out my first composition.

Having great world class classical music piped in speakers around the house 24/7 gave me a refined ear as well as a keen understanding into the structure of music and developed my music aptitude.

In college I was in 3 choirs, chamber musicians and sang in 7 different languages going on an east coast tour. I also took music composition & was writing, arranging & performing music for our local college cafe. an ability to improvisize and create my own music and a love for music that has lasted my whole 50 years of life! I have over 40 years of music experience to help you grow as a musician and enjoy music for a lifetime!

I am a really encouraging, empowering teacher that helps my students excel at ear training, improvising and composing and having the essentials in theory, form, finger dexterity and so on.

I am also a sound healer and have done sound healing for folks for cancer and am on a sound healing CD that is on Amazon, itunes etc. So i can even combine that into your lesson if you want!

I am a professional musician who has had paid gigs and projects and I have gotten to work for & create music with a lot of talented people and on a few movie projects, one that won an independent film award! I play violin in many different styles from classical, rock, folk, jazz, new age, gypsy, blue grass. I am very versatile musically and have taught my piano students songs they really wanted to learn & enjoy! Everything from musicals to Bowie to Queen to Beethoven! Basically I try to encorporate song requests of songs they would Love to learn!

I would love to help you find your own musical voice. I can even infuse our music lessons with relaxing crystal & tibetan singing bowls to lower your stress at the start or end of your lessons or help you create your own healing song for times of stress.

I love it when I see a student grasp a new concept, have joy in performing or playing a song they love. I also love helping my students grow in their artistry and expression!

I try to make it fun as well and use funny voices, games and so on to keep the interest of my younger students.

It is also very fun to help my students learn to improvise & create their own music. Pretty much all my students improvise or compose their own songs! So if you are an adult who never learned how to find your music voice and want to learn how to improvise or create music or a musician who feels inhibited & in need of coaxing to do your own creations, I can help you in that area as I learned from trial & error some short cuts to having a spur of the moment improvisation sound like a complete, polished song!

I also love working on classical music with my students as well and seeing my violin students excell with their bow tone & form and watching my piano students develop the subtle artistry skills to really bring a solo work alive!

I also do sound healing lessons as well and can do combination lessons as well where I add crystal singing bowls to help you relax at the end of a hard day or teach you how to do your own sound healing exercises for healing & stress relief.

I also play guitar, keys, viola, & took voice lessons. So I occasional work in some voice techniques or show a student some beginning chords on guitar if they want to add to their skills.
