Wendy Barkan

Greetings! My name is Ms. Wendy Barkan. I am in my twentieth year of teaching piano and keyboards!

I am classically trained both privately and in college . I have performed with bands in New York City, New Jersey and Pennsylvania and Europe in various genres.

I am versed in electronic music as my experience goes into the Rock, New Wave, Electronic Dance Music, Blues and Jazz and of course classical music.

I enjoy meeting new people and training

young and older to excel in piano! I believe my

exceptional skill is to tap into each students'

learning curve and educate them on this premise.

I've been very successful as a teacher understanding each and every one's individual

personalities and cultivating learning in this manner.

I have a lively, friendly personality. I teach

a classical method with lesson books, scales,

and exercise techniques and eventually move into

the genre of music the student prefers to focus on.

Many of my students have gone onto perform

in school talent shows, churches, and recitals. I've

taught a current Disney child star to a recording

artist from the 1950's. I've worked with people

from many different cultures and have taught

them music from their countries. And of course all

ages from four to seventy seven! It's been a wonderful experience through and through and
