Hello, Ive been playing guitar and several other instruments for 20 years. I have been privately trained for four of those years as well as learn new techniques on my own now and then. I play a mix of styles, blues, classical and jazz. I like to teach others what I've learned. I can teach you the basics, reading sheet music and tab. As you advance, I can teach you advanced chords, chord progression and improvosation. You will learn scales, modes and how to write them and find chords and keys using them. It is not as complicated as you think!!!
I love music and think everyone should learn it! I enjoy teaching because it actually helps keep me focused on the fundimentals and helps me to improve personally

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Teach them the basics. Learn to read music and TAB, the notes on the guitar and where to find them, tuning
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have four years of private training from three different teachers of three different styles. 20 years of playing experience.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Basically think of what it is you want to learn, music theory? Read music? Maybe just learn a few chords or a song? We can focus your lessons to what it is you want to do.
