I have 19 years of Private Teaching Experience. I have a B.M. in Piano Performance, and also studied Piano Pedagogy. I currently teach lessons from my home in the Telford & Perkasie area. but have previously taught at a Music Store and a local Charter School. Students will learn how to read music, technique, theory, sight-reading, ear-training, scales, arpeggios, classical, and many other different genres and styles of music. I also hold 2 piano recitals each year. I am passionate about instilling my love of music into my students. Teaching one-on-one allows me to get to know each student personally, which allows me to customize my lesson plan to each students' specifice goals and needs. What is your typical process for working with a new student?
The student/or parent of student, would contact me, and discuss availability for days, times, & location. The student would then pick a time slot, and we would begin within the next week. For new students, I will get the books needed for lessons. The books will be added to the monthly bill, which is due the first lesson of the month. For students that previously took lessons, we can continue in the books they were using previously, and then we can go from there.
